Do We Always Need To Understand Why?

Things work out the way they are meant to. We may not always understand why. The older I get the more I learn-we don't need to know what the reason is in the moment. Sometimes, at a later date you are given the opportunity to SEE AND CONTEMPLATE. It is often then that you review, understand, and truly appreciate the choice that life has selected for you. Happy Monday!

Give Yourself A Mind Lift!

It is so interesting the individuals we run across during a given day. Sometimes, these crossings turn in to the most interesting conversations. It is often amazing to discover how much you have in common with someone you barely know. These journeys often force you to take a closer look in the mirror. Remember to celebrate yourself, celebrate new connections with others, and give yourself a daily MIND LIFT to ensure you are keeping your thoughts uplifting, ensure that you feel powerful, motivated, and heading in a positive direction. Keep it moving....................................

The Power In saying No!

As I reflect on the previous day, I realize sometimes it is amazing what memories the mind returns to. Often, we replay a scenario that has occurred. Normally, when we write or speak, an effort is made to convey a complete thought to someone. We want people to know what the subject is, what action we are seeking to occur, what outcome we desire? But, I was reminded today that sometimes when we are confronted with a situation, our message to them can be conveyed with one word. Not in a mean way at all, but there is power in the word NO. You don't need to restate whatever the question is you were asked because the answer is NO. You don't need to hear what they want you to do, because the answer is NO. You don't need to rush and meet a deadline or anything because the answer is NO. Don't worry about what could be, because your answer is NO. Don't be concerned about having to explain anything because the response is NO. Is there anything wrong with saying NO? Should you feel guilty about saying it? I would say NO. It conveys your complete thought. After you say it, pause, breath, and offer a moment of silence. Look at the person you are saying it to if you are in person. There is no other response needed, It comes across as a complete sentence. Your stress level is lowered because the extra pressure you were going to carry around in your backpack has suddenly been lightened. Plus, there is nothing wrong with saying it. Nothing should be weighing you down when you need to say it. Now, with one less thing added to your list, you can embrace the day and truly work towards doing what you want to do and what you are meant to do. Today, locate that thing that is the light in your day. Find your YES.

Sound is Beautiful To The Ears!

I know the impact of the written word, but as I reflect on the previous day I am reminded of the impact of sound. For months I have encountered a gentleman and always made sure I looked at him, and gave him a wave when our paths crossed. Today, I grinned widely because I felt like I had made progress. He extended his hand out and we shook hands when he saw me. I nearly fell out, as I was leaving and he said "goodbye." I did not know he could speak! Truly amazing when sound can bring such joy to your ears. Happy Sunday!

Customer Service Reflection!

As I reflect on recent happenings, sometimes there are things I ponder on for a fair amount of time. Usually because something just doesn't feel right to me. At times when this happens, it isn't always about something big, but sometimes it is just something that bugs me. At times when I feel like something has been handled in an interesting manner I like to share information with others.... Stay tuned for my article tomorrow on the Patch!

Whether Spoken Or Written Remember The Value

As I reflect on the day, I am reminded of something so important. Sometimes, if you know you cannot be true to your word, it is best to not say anything at all-rather than crush the spirit of someone that cannot handle it. Whether it is spoken or written, let your word be your stamp. When given, let it have the power of a sledgehammer. Sealing all in its goodness. As you navigate throughout your day, move forward knowing that your word means something.

Sometimes a Quote Serves As a Reminder

There are times you reflect upon the weeks, days, or just upon an evening. The realization that time passes too quickly hits you. The day is coming to an end, and you prepare to take on a new day in a matter of hours. Sometimes you encounter a quote that causes you to just pause and breathe.

Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment”

Life Reflection

There are times when I sit down and write for the purpose of writing and creating a new article, book etc. Then there are times that I sit down to rethink about an experience that may have happened during the day, or something that I have seen. As I did this earlier, I heard the sound of what I believed was a street cleaner passing by, but soon discovered it was hail pounding my home and the street in front of it. I looked in fascination, and within a short time it had stopped. In my moment of stillness I was reminded that this hail was somewhat like life. It caused a momentary interruption (as people ran to escape it, and cars slowed down for safety reasons.) Often obstacles pop up, but do not last for long. Similar to a writing roadblock or any other challenge. I was reminded that one must prepare the best they can, take steps that will continue to move you forward, and in the right direction towards meeting your goals.
