How Do You Let Your Customers Know They Are Appreciated Year Round?

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and the flower and candy shops are filled with people spending money to let special individuals know how much they care about them. But, while you may be doing that as well, who is tending to your customers? What steps have you taken to let your customers know year round they are appreciated? The Four T's of Running a Successful Small Business

With the economy still proving to be questionable, many individuals find they must develop new means of generating income for their household-or develop ways to regenerate what they already have. Often this leads to the creation of a small business. Taking this plunge usually means learning through a series of often times frustrating mistakes. However, this doesn't mean it will take an eternity to become successful, or to generate additional income. It does mean you have to remain consistent to make your business shine. There are several steps you can take during the process which can help you find the right path to meet your goals.

Talent:

Before you shrug your shoulders while thinking about this subject, you must first realize this is an area in which we all have something to offer. Sit down and make a list of the things you truly enjoy doing. What are the things that bring a smile to your face once you have done them? Is there an activity that you do which you couldn’t image ever not doing? What is something you would do even if money weren’t involved? See how quickly this list can go, as you ask yourself these questions. Once you have these answers, determine if there is a way to get paid doing these things. Success is often easier to reach if you enjoy the tasks necessary to get there and remain there. Do your talents need to be updated, and if so research where you can go to make this happen. The internet makes it possible to obtain additional skills sans spending much if any money. It is not just enough to have a talent, but is necessary to present it at its best when sharing with others. There is much competition now, so ensuring that you remain educated in your desired field is another way to stay at the top of your game.

Time:
Time takes effort and this means allocating a set amount of time daily to make you continuously proceed one step closer towards reaching your goal. Finalize what it is that you want to do. When would you like to accomplish this task? You may say today, but we know that is unrealistic. Look at your schedule, face what you can realistically do continuously, make a list of a step you can take each day to march yourself closer to the end result. Hold yourself accountable each day to ensure you have accomplished one major task. If you need support, find a reliable individual that can assist in holding you accountable.

Testimony:

It doesn't matter how good your talent is, if no one knows about you. Research ways to spread the word about what you have to offer. Social Media is extremely valuable as a means to reach a large population in a quick span of time. If you are unfamiliar with this area, it may be necessary to bring others on board to assist you. Once you have determined the best avenue to spread the word about your services, put a plan in place to do this weekly. You must stay in the news, repetition, a jazzy logo, or snazzy plugs are things that will carry you far on the tongues of potential customers.

Tears:

Never hesitate to let your tears flow. There will be times you are disappointed in yourself, or things may not go as planned. Know this is okay, and that this allows room for another path to be explored. We can never be perfect, so take that off the radar from the beginning. Strive to present your talent in the best light at all times, come forth with integrity and your customers will learn you are an individual they can trust and they will tell others.

What Are You Carrying in Your Backpack?

Today, as we work our businesses I am reminded that many are given this opportunity because of the struggles of those that have come before them. Read my latest article and learn how one trip changed the way I view life, business, and opportunities.

Empowerment Quote of the Day

Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent. Martin Luther King, Jr.
